RUFC - Ref Watch v The Robins

Colin Webster from Tyne and Wear

Colin began refereeing in the North East in 1988, progressing through the Wearside and Northern Leagues and finally reaching the National List in 1994 and progressing to the Referees` List six years later. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 Colin was in the middle for the Football Leagues Play-Off semi-finals.

Colin is no stranger to Don Valley. He was in charge of our nil-nil draw with Bradford City in September 2010 and has also been in the middle for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Leicester in November 2008 and our league game the same season with Gillingham. Both those games were two-nil wins for the Millers, in the Cup Drewe Broughton and Dale Tonge were the scorers and against the Gills, Jamie Clarke and Jamie Green scored.

The first time the Millers were involved in a game that Colin was in the middle for was at Millmoor in December 2001. John Mullin put the Millers in front on thirty-four minutes and Alan Lee made sure that the home side got all the points by scoring a second goal on seventy-six minutes.
