RUFC - Head-to-Head v Cheltenham

Rotherham United entertain Cheltenham Town at Don Valley on Easter Monday which will be the tenth meeting between the two sides. Of the nine games already played, the Millers and Robins have won three games each and three have been draws.

The last time the two met at Don Valley was in August 2010. Jeff Goulding scored on four minutes for the visitors with Adam Le Fondre equalising twelve minutes later. Wes Thomas and Sean Jeffers gave the Robins a three-one lead with Danny Harrison making it three-two going into the break. Three minutes into the second half Alfie equalised and two minutes later he got his hat-trick and put the Millers into the lead for the first time in the game. Five minutes later Ryan Cresswell made it five-three to the Millers with Alfie getting his fourth and the Millers sixth on sixty-six minutes. Keith Lowe scored a consolation for the visitors in the last minute of the game to make it six-four.

The only time the Robins have beaten the Millers on home ground was at Millmoor in April 2007. Marc Newsham and Ian Henderson gave the Millers a two-nil lead with just twenty-two minutes gone. Kayode Odejayi pulled one back a minute before half-time with Steven Gillespie getting the equaliser a minute after the break. Gillespie put the Robins into the lead ten minutes later and JJ Melligan made it four-two to the visitors two minutes from the end.
