RUFC - Ref Watch v The Shrews

DANNY MCDERMID from Hampshire

Danny McDermid started refereeing in Northern Ireland in 1999. He joined the National List of Assistant Referees in 2002 and was promoted four years later to the Referees list.

The first time we encountered Danny was in December 2006 at Whaddon Road when goals from Brian Wilson and Dave Bird gave all three points to Cheltenham Town.

Danny was in charge of our game at Valley Parade the season after. Omar Daley and Alex Rhodes put Bradford two up in the first seventeen minutes with Ryan Taylor pulling one back just before the half hour mark. A minute before half-time Lee Bullock made it three-one to the Bantams. Six minutes before time Chris O'Grady scored to make it an interesting last few minutes but City won the game three-two.

The last time Danny was in the middle at a Millers game was our one-nil win at Don Valley over Accrington Stanley when a goal in the last minute from Paul Warne gave Rotherham all three points.

This season Danny has been in charge of just thirteen games, showing thirty-seven yellow cards and two red cards.

Running the line at the Greenhous Meadow will be …

Kevin Mattocks from Lancashire
and
Mark Jones from Nottinghamshire

The Fourth Official on Saturday will be

Tony Horton from Wolverhampton
