RUFC - Head-to-Head v The Blades

Rotherham United's fourth friendly at home, against Sheffield United, is looking like it will be the first capacity crowd at the New York Stadium with the Blades selling out their three and a half thousand ticket allocation - which includes taking over part of the family stand.

The two sides have met just thirty-three times in league and cup in the past with the Blades winning the majority, which includes a win at Don Valley last season in the Johnstones's Paint Trophy. Chris Porter put the visitors ahead on nine minutes with Alex Revell getting an equaliser sixty minutes later and with it looking like it was going to penalties Ched Evans got a winner for the Blades in the last minute of the game.

The last time the Blades and Millers played on Rotherham soil was at Millmoor in the Championship in December 2004. On the stroke of half-time Michael Tonge put the Blades one up and two minutes into the second-half Paul Shaw made it two-nil. On the fifty-fourth minute Chris Swailes pulled one back for the Millers and seventeen minutes later Martin McIntosh got an equaliser and a share of the points.

The last time the Millers beat the Blades was in August 1989 in the Littlewoods Cup second leg. After drawing in the first leg at Bramall Lane a goal from Bobby Williamson gave the Millers a one-nil win at Millmoor.

The Blades will be disappointed after losing in the play-off Final last season therefore starting the next campaign again in League One but have just signed three new players in Shaun Miller (Crewe), Tony McMahon (Middlesbrough) and Matt Hill (who was on loan at Bramall Lane last season) to add to Daryl Westlake (Walsall) and John Cofie (loan from Manchester United) to help them get up next season.

Danny Wilson`s side are fresh from a two-game tour of Malta.
