'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Head-to-Head v York City

Rotherham United make the short journey to Bootham Crescent for their next League encounter which will be the first league meeting between the two sides since February 2000 when a fair number of Millers braced the arctic conditions to travel to the county's capital.

The game that day started with Leo Fortune-West getting his twelfth goal of the season on seven minutes. Barry Conlon got an equaliser for the home side on seventy-four minutes but, with the game looking like it would be a draw, a Kevin Watson free-kick in the last minute of the game caused mayhem among the City defence and when former Miller's 'keeper Bobby Mimms only managed to parry the ball to Guy Branston the Millers tall defender stabbed the ball over the line from a couple of yards out and went off to invent his 'stomping' celebration.
