RUFC - Head-to-Head v Southend

Rotherham United`s next visitors to the New York Stadium are Southend and this will be the twenty-fifth league meeting between the two sides, with Southend winning ten to the Millers eight and there being six draws.

The last time Southend were on Rotherham soil was in August 2005.  The visitors were two up within twenty-six minutes at Millmoor with goals from mark Bentley and Adam Barrett but a Colin Murdock goal on thirty-four minutes and a Deon Burton penalty on forty-five minutes, after Barrett had brought him down in the box, made it two-all at half-time.  Wayne Grey came on as sub for the Shrimpers on eighty-three minutes and within five minutes had scored two goals, the second from the penalty spot after Shaun Barker had brought him down in the area.
