RUFC - Head-to-Head v Cheltenham

Rotherham United entertain Cheltenham Town for the first time at the New York Stadium on Saturday afternoon, which will be the eleventh league meeting between the two sides.

The first time that the Robins played in Rotherham was at Millmoor in April 2000. Darren Garner put the home side ahead on twelve minutes and Jason White made sure on eighty-four minutes, just three minutes after coming off the bench.

The only time Cheltenham have won in Rotherham was at Millmoor in April 2007, which was the last home game of the season. Marc Newsham and Ian Henderson put the Millers two up with a certain Kayode Odejayi pulling one back for the visitors just before half-time. A minute into the second half Stephen Gillespie equalised and ten minutes later the same player put them ahead. Two minutes from time JJ Melligan made it four-two to the Robins.

Last season, at Don Valley, a goal in the final minute from skipper Ryan Cresswell won all three points for the Millers on Easter Monday, in what was the day that Steve Evans was announced as the new Rotherham Manager.
