'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v The Chairboys

Robert Lewis from Shropshire

Rob actually worked his way up to be a League referee some years ago and officiated at nearly fifty games before a lengthy injury cost him his place on the National List.

After running the line in the Premiership and refereeing in the Conference he was added again to the list for the start of 2010/11 season.

Rob was in the middle for two Millers games last season. Firstly our game at Sixfields when Gareth Evans put Rotherham in front on just two minutes then a bizarre own goal from Conrad Logan on twenty-four minutes gave the Cobblers a share of the points. He was then in charge of our game with Bristol Rovers in February when a goal in the final minute of the game gave Rovers the three points.

Rob isn't unknown throughout the football world for controversy as he is the assistant who didn't see Roy Carroll retrieve the ball from a good yard over the line after a shot from Spurs' Pedro Mendes had been fumbled by the Manchester United 'keeper. He was also reported by Bradford City in October last year when he is alleged to have verbally abused a player.

Rob has been in the middle for twelve games this season showing thirty-nine red cards

Running the line on Tuesday night will be

Barry Cropp from Lancashire
and
Robert Atkin from Lincolnshire

The Fourth Official will be

Nigel Smith from Derbyshire
