'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Notts County

Darren Deadman from Cheshunt

Darren started reffing in the Ishmian League and Panel Leagues after getting injured while playing semi-professional football. He joined the National List of Assistant Referees in 2000 and five years later he was promoted to the Referee's list.

The last time Darren was in charge of a Millers game was in September 2009 at Don Valley where the game against Morecambe ended in a nil-nil draw.

The season before Darren was in charge of our game at Kenilworth Road which saw six goals. The Millers went in two-one up at half-time with goals from Reuben Reid and Drewe Broughton and Chris Martin got Luton's goal. Eight minutes into the second half, Danny Harrison restored our two goal lead only for Asa Hall to make it 3-2. With three minutes to go, Mark Hudson made sure of all three points going to the visitors. That night, Darren Deadman showed yellow cards to the Hatters' Chris Martin and to Drewe Broughton, Pablo Mills and Ian Sharps from the Millers.

In the seventeen games Darren has been in the middle for this season he has shown fifty-four yellow cards and three red.

Running the line at Meadow Lane will be

Christopher Kavanagh from Lancashire
and
Stephen Ross from Lincolnshire

The Fourth Official will be

Wayne Barrett from Worcestershire
