RUFC - Ref Watch v Accrington

Richard Clark from Northumberland

This is Richard's first season as a Football League Referee but this will be his second visit to the New York Stadium, the first being in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy when a goal ten minutes from Matty Blair put York City into the next round.

Last season he was in the middle for fifteen Blue Square Premier League games and showed fifty-six yellow and four red cards. He was the referee in the Football Conference Play-Off between York City and Mansfield Town at the end of last season at Bootham Crescent and controversially sent-off Matt Green of Mansfield for two hand-ball incidents - he also showed six yellow cards, one to former Miller Gary Roberts.

This season Richard has been in charge of eleven games and has given out twenty-nine yellow cards and three red cards.
