RUFC - Head-to-Head v Barnet

Rotherham United welcome Barnet for their first visit to the New York Stadium on Saturday which will be the twenty-second time the teams have met in the League.

The first time the Bees came to Rotherham was in February 1992 when goals from Tony Cunningham, Chris Hutchings and Don Page gave the Millers a three-nil win. The last time Barnet won on Rotherham soil was at Millmoor at the beginning of the 1997/8 season. Mike Harle put the Bees in front on just three minutes with Andy Roscoe equalising twenty-six minutes later. Just after the hour mark Shaun Goodwin scored from the penalty spot to put the Millers two-one up but soon turned from hero to villain when twenty minutes later he put the ball in his own net. Five minutes from time a goal from Sean Devine gave the Bees the win.

Barnet were the last team to appear at Millmoor on 3rd May 2008 where a Jamie Green goal on eight minutes was enough to give the Millers all three points which left Rotherham in eighth place in League Two and the Bees in twelfth.

Clovis Kamdjo put the visitors in front on thirty-six minutes with Troy Brown equalising four minutes into the second half. On sixty-three minutes Michael Raynes was adjudged to have fouled Izale McLeod in the box and the Barnet striker picked himself up and scored from the penalty spot. Eight minutes from town Adam Le Fondre rescued a point for the Millers when he fired home to make it two-all.

The game at Underhill earlier this season ended goalless with Millers striker Alex Revell receiving a red card ten minutes from time.
