RUFC - Head-to-Head v Torquay

Rotherham United make the long journey to Torquay for this re-arranged game on Tuesday night.

Last season the game at Plainmoor was a six goal thriller. Lewis Grabban put the Millers in front on three minutes with Ryan Cresswell making it two-nil six minutes later. Billy Boden pulled one back for the Gulls on eleven minutes but a goal ten minutes before half-time from Lewis Grabban gave the Millers back their two goal advantage. But goals from Kevin Nicholson and Rene Howe three minutes either side of half-time made the game three-all.

Of the twenty-seven games the two have played the Millers have won fourteen times to the Gulls seven. The first time the Millers won at Plainmoor was in December 1971 when a Bobby Ham goal was enough to give the visitors a one-nil win.

The last time the Millers won at Torquay's home was in the 2009/10 season when goals from Kevin Ellison and Adam Le Fondre in the last five minutes of the game gave the Millers all three points.
