RUFC - Head-to-Head v Colchester

Rotherham United make their first visit to the Colchester Community Stadium this weekend where the U's moved at the start of the 2008/9 season. (Weston Homes have a ten-year sponsorship on the stadium so it's official title is 'the West Homes Community Stadium, but it is also known as Cuckoo Farm).

The last time the Millers were on Colchester soil was at Layer Road in April 2006 when an own goal from Shaun Barker in the first half and a Mark Yeates goal eight minutes into the second half gave the home side a two-nil win.

The last time the Millers won away in Colchester was on a Friday night in August 2000 when the only goal of the game was scored by Mark Robins just after the half-hour mark.

The only other win the Millers have had at Layer Road was in March 1974 and again it was by one goal to nil with Jimmy Goodfellow scoring for the visitors.

Earlier this season the game at the New York Stadium ended two-all. Former Miller Marcus Bean put the visitors ahead on seven minutes but two minutes later Matt Tubbs got an equaliser for the home side with Kieran Agard putting Rotherham ahead on twenty-two minutes. Unfortunately for the Millers a last minute goal from Elliott Lee sent the U's home with a point from the game.

Of the twenty-one league games the Millers and U's have been against each other Rotherham have come away with ten wins to Colchester`s three.
