'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Peterborough

Carl Berry from Surrey

This is Carl's third season as a Football League referee and he has been in the middle of just one game involving the Millers which was in March 2012 at Don Valley. The game was won by a penalty after Darren Purse had fouled Gareth Evans in the area and Lewis Grabban stepped up to the spot and scored the resulting penalty which took the Millers up to tenth place in League Two. That day Carl gave just one yellow card which was to the Millers Jason Taylor.

Although Carl didn't show any 'bad traits' that day he wasn't the most popular referee amongst managers with Paolo Di Canio Dougie Freedman and Edgar Davids having had uncomplimentary things to say about Mr Berry in the past.

This season Carl has shown forty-five yellow cards in the twelve games he has been in charge of and, as yet, no red cards - let's hope it stays like that after Saturday's game.

Running the line at London Road will be

Darren Blunden from Kent
and
David Rock from Hertfordshire

The Fourth Official will be

Matthew Buonassisi from Northamptonshire
