RUFC - Head-to-Head v Bradford
Rotherham United make the short trip to West Yorkshire to take on Bradford City at Valley Parade.

The two sides have met sixty-eight times in the past in the league the last time at Valley Parade being in December 2013. The game was decided on twenty-one minutes when a surging run from Lee Frecklington saw him find Newcastle loanee Haris Vuckic just inside the penalty area who stuck the ball in the corner of the net. If it hadn't been for Bantams 'keeper Jon McLaughlin the Millers other Newcastle loanee James Tavernier could have had a couple of goals as well.

The season before the game at Valley Parade was a two-nil win for Rotherham with the first goal coming from the penalty spot ten minutes from time when substitute Michael Nelson clearly handled the ball in the area. Lee Frecklington had a long time to wait before he could take the spot-kick with the referee having to speak to a lot of the City players who kept encroaching into the area but the midfielder kept his nerve and stroked the ball into the net in front of the Millers travelling fans. The second goal came in time added on and from a Bantams corner! With City's 'keeper Jon McLaughlin having gone up for the corner the ball was caught by Millers 'keeper Scott Shearer who launched the ball towards Kieran Agard and the Millers striker was too quick for anyone else as he flew down the field and stuck the ball into the bottom corner of the net to send the Millers fans wild.

The last time the Millers lost at Valley Parade was in March 2011. Lewis Hunt put the home side in front on sixteen minutes but Marcus Marshall equalised twenty-two minutes later. Unfortunately in time added on Tom Adeyemi smashed a shot in from twenty-five yards out which crashed onto the crossbar and bounced down and away. The referee, who was quite close to the action, seemed to be carrying on with play until the linesman put up his flag, which everyone in the ground thought was for off-side, only to find out that the Bantams had been awarded a goal. Immediately the Millers players surrounded the linesman which carried on well after the whistle had gone for the end of the game.

The first time the two sides met at Valley Parade was when Rotherham were playing in Division Two as Rotherham County in the 1922/3 season when the visitors won with a goal from Roy Lambert.
