RUFC - Ref Watch v Oldham

RUFC - Ref Watch v Oldham
Robert Lewis from Shropshire

This will be Rob's third time in the middle for a Millers game this season - the first being our first match of the new season away at Fleetwood, which Rotherham lost two-nil and the last time being in our Checkatrade game away at Bradford when goals from Jerry Yates, Jonson Clarke-Harris (from the penalty spot) and Richie Towell gave us a three-nil win.

His first time in charge of a Millers game was at Don Valley in November 2010 when Northampton were the visitors. Ryan Taylor and Marcus Marshall put the Milers two up in nineteen minutes but the Cobblers scored two goals in two minutes to make it two-two five minutes later. Abdul Osman and Andy Holt got the visitors goals. That day Rob showed yellow cards to Jamie Annerson, Kevin Ellison and Mark Bradley of the Millers and Northampton`s Marcus Hall and Dean Beckworth.

Rob was in charge of two Millers games the following season.Firstly our game at Sixfields when Gareth Evans put Rotherham in front on just two minutes then a bizarre own goal from Conrad Logan on twenty-four minutes gave the Cobblers a share of the points. He was then in charge of our game with Bristol Rovers in February when a goal in the final minute of the game gave Rovers the three points.

Rob came to the New York Stadium to take charge of our game against Wycombe Wanderers in November 2012. Daniel Nardiello scored in the opening minute only for Dave Winfield to equalise just before the half-hour mark. Six minutes later Mark Bradley put the Millers back in front but two goals in the second half from Matt McClure sent Wycombe home with all three points.

The last time Rob was in charge of the Millers was in December 2013 in League One at Vale Park when Louis Dodds put the hosts in front on eight minutes with Kieran Agard seeing a penalty saved by Vale's Sam Johnson after James Tavernier was bundled over in the box. On fifty-four minutes the Millers went down to ten when Claude Davies kicked out at former Miller Tom Pope and Pope made it worse for his former team when his flick on to Gavin Tomlin saw the Vale striker make it two-nil.

In the seventeen games he has been in the middle for this season Rob has shown forty-six yellow cards and three red cards
